The combination of training, personal experience, and patience has made me understand and appreciate my body and its limitations. I find Pilates, especially the Polestar Pilates Method, a soft approach. It offers a new way of rehabilitation, building strength and core stability, combining it with good understating of breathwork keeping me healthy and free from pain.
My obsession and attention to correct alignment give perfect support and the safe environment which all levels of clients require.
I have a deep passion, compassion and understanding for spine pathology, I understand your pain, I have been there and my aim is for my clients to leave the sessions with the sensation of feeling taller, stronger, energised and of course pain-free. I work in Collaboration with, BodyCorporate, Complete-Pilates, Kanga Yoga and TotalChiYoga, those are the places where you can practice with me in a group environment. Alternatively, I offer 1-2-1, corporate tailor-made group classes and Pilates for injuries. My flexible approach allows you to adjust and adapt your timetable to your personal needs. I cover Central, North, East London, Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Bow. England.
I always dreamed of being a ballerina, but could not attend classes as a child, so did not develop the body: the flexibility or anatomy.
I turned my attention towards finding another passion, leading me on this journey.
For 18 years, I was a successful Hairstylist. I loved it, but deep down in my unconsciousness, something was blocking my light to shine through.
I started practising Yoga in 2011, initially as a physical exercise, as most do. But soon after, I embarked on Yoga’s spiritual path, enrolling onto a Mindfulness course and Vipassana meditation retreat, to find space and peace within myself.
Those retreats and teachings have become annual pursuits and have not just changed my way of living, but my way of being. I fell in love with Yoga’s philosophy, awakening in a balanced and harmonious state.
I completed my Yoga 300hrs Teacher Training in India in 2016 with Kanga Yoga and in 2020 I qualified as a Meditation Teacher. My teaching incorporates Iyengar, Sivananda and Ashtanga Yoga, adapting those styles to all clients levels. I often include Pranayama and Meditation techniques into my sessions, which I believe helps people to deeply connect spiritually with themselves, reaching the root of all our issues and insecurities.
I have lived all my life with chronic back pain, but in 2017 due to a spine pathology injury, something deeper happened, I was in a lot of pain and this severely limited any form of movement I could do for more than a year. I felt stuck, without a way out. Something needed to change to enable me to move forward in life. So I decided to deepen my practice and train with Polestar Pilates as a level 2 Mat and Reformer Pilates training with Heartcore London, I have recently begun and chosen again Polestar Pilates for my clinical Pilates training.
We all search for a purpose in life, and I was searching for happiness and perfection, I was far from finding what I was looking for, as I was far from understanding that every human being is perfect just the way they are.
Happiness is an inward journey, a never-ending path, that only you can choose to begin walking.
